Here’s our vision for Madison Park Christian Church as a whole—that we are “becoming a people whose only passion is Jesus, whose only desire is to know and follow him better, whose only ambition is whatever it takes to love and reach the lost.” We want everyone in our Body to enter into an ongoing, ever-growing relationship with Jesus Christ in such a way, that we all begin to look like him more and more

The discipleship ministries at MPCC are an extension of that overall vision. ChristianSchwartz makes an insightful remark in his book "Natural Church Development." In his Introduction, he points out that one of the central purposes of the church is "to make more and better disciples." That is exactly what we seek to do at MPCC—and it is reflected in the vision statement written below (a vision statement that is couched soundly within our overall vision for MPCC):

The Discipleship Ministries of Madison Park Christian Church will produce
more and better disciples in Quincy, Illinois.

This serves as a memorable statement that captures the entire vision of what we hope to accomplish through the discipleship ministries at MPCC (specifically in Quincy). It will serve as the "target" we aim for in all that we decide and do. Anything, within the boundaries of Scripture, that will work towards the realization of this vision will be considered and possibly implemented.
