There are certain core values and strategies that are a natural result of the overall vision and mission of the Discipleship Ministries at MPCC. These are the "foundational five" that we came up with::

1. We value the process of disciple making. Therefore, it is our desire to offer ministries that encourage and empower us to live as disciples of Christ.
2. We value the written word of God. Therefore, it is our desire to offer ministries that enhance our understanding of God and His word.
3. We value growth and maturity in the lives of all believers. Therefore, it is our desire to offer ministries that will bring about true Christian growth and maturity (seeking God's advice for the issues that God's people are facing).
4. We value a faith that affects our everyday lives. Therefore, it is our desire to create an atmosphere of fellowship and service so that we can walk our studies into our relationships and areas of influence.
5. We value sound teaching and instruction of God's word. Therefore, it is our desire to equip ministries with Biblically literate and well-studied leaders/teachers who will provide godly teaching and instruction in His word.

      It is our conviction that as each core value and strategy are embraced and implemented, the purpose of the discipleship ministries at MPCC is "fleshed out". Eventually, the vision that has been cast will become a reality!
