Teaching in Austria

I leave Thursday, August 2nd for Austria. I will be in Heiligenkreuz, about 20 kms out of Vienna. TCM, Intl. has thier European Center there. I will have a class of Romanians. I'm teaching Theology and Practice of Ministry. I will begin teaching Tuesday, going 6 hours a day through an interpreter. There will be 4 professors and about a dozen American short term workers in addition to probably 80 students from several eastern European countries. It is a Master's level class. Any students taking it for credit will bring papers with them which I will grade through an interpreter. Then, the credit students will take an exam at the end. If they are like typical, with one night to study, they will all get from B+ to A. They are amazing.

The main house is where the meals are served and there is one classroom in the basement. It also houses staff in the upstairs.
The apartment picture is the new building. It is attached to the right of the main building. The lower level is an extension of the kitchen and has a nice classroom in it.

Upstairs are three professor's apartments. I prefer the one at the top. There is a small deck overlooking the valley. I'll send a pic from there so you can see what I see. It is really beautiful. As they say, "someone's got to do it."

Foothills of the Alps

One trip we were in the "foothills" of the Alps on a cog wheel, steam train. Joska Temesevary and I climbed to the top.

I miss our worship in Quincy. But it is an incredible experience to worship with brothers and sisters who have been persecuted for their faith.  It makes me appreciate what we take for granted---our freedoms.
