Media Ministry

Media Team

When you come to worship at Madison Park Christian Church we strive to provide a comfortable setting of inspirational lighting and music. It is our mission to help the service flow smoothly and to coordinate with the praise team, musicians, and choir.

Our sound system was designed to provide even coverage throughout the auditorium and to ensure that the Word is heard by all who attend. With this in mind, we have small wireless earphones available for those who would like to use one. We also have telecoil neckloops that can be used by anyone with a telecoil equipped hearing aid. Just ask a greeter or information desk attendant. They'll be more than happy to assist you.

We provide visual reinforcement utilizing computer graphics and video. Our slides are projected on a large screen for easy viewing. We have video and sound editing capabilities to create video tapes and DVDs for holiday specials. We make audio recordings of all our worship services and provide audio tapes or CDs to anyone who wants one. If you miss a service, just go to the resource center and request a CD or tape.

A recent addition to our Media Ministry is weekly PowerPoint graphics. The purpose of these graphics is to represent the sermon in a graphical way and to make it easier for the average person to understand. If you would like to see a more in depth article about the importance of visual metaphor, read this article. Anyone with visual creativity or Adobe Photoshop experience is welcome to join!

Mission Statement

The Media Team exists for one purpose: To invest ourselves in a ministry that will directly support anything that goes forth from this church requiring audio, lighting, video, graphics, or any other form of technical or stage support, in a manner that is pleasing to God, and will provide for a better reception and understanding by all those who are touched by our efforts.

As we serve, we embrace the scripture "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but to the interests of others."

Philippians 2:3-4 NIV
