I remember a lot about being a kid, but I do not remember the day that I was born. I am sure it was cold, bright, and loud. I was born September 20, 1977 at 6:30 in the AM at Harrisburg, IL. I am the number two son out of five children born to Carl and Bonnie Wilson.

I was raised a farm boy. My dad's family had a dairy farm and my mom's family had a hog farm. So, I got the best of both worlds. My family moved around southern Illinois a lot when I was a kid, basically from farm to farm. In 1981, I started Kindergarten at Lick Creek School. My kindergarten teacher was named Ms. Gay Hough. My early memories of school were unpleasant ones. A girl named Lola who was repeating kindergarten pushed me off the slide. I had my huge fur coat on (thanks for that coat mom) and my zipper got caught in the handle bar to the slide. So, my coat zipper suspended me in mid-air. It was my earliest shining moment.

On June 29, 1986, my family loaded up the truck and moved to Potosi, Missouri. I consider Potosi (pronounced po-toe-see) my hometown. My dad became the minister at Pleasant Hill Christian Church. We lived in the parsonage by the church, so it was hard for me to skip as a kid. I was baptized not long after moving to Missouri. It was August 10, 1987. That was one of the most memorable days of my life. In 1993, my family moved to a farm just outside of Potosi and that is where my parents live today. My dad is still a preacher and a farmer and teaches GED courses. My mom is the high school secretary and has been for almost 20 years. She tracks attendance at the school, which made it hard for me to skip school as well.
I actually loved school. I was pretty good at "hitting the books". I was a member of National Honor Society. I was Treasurer of every club in the school, including student council, excluding Future Homemakers. I love sports. My greatest accomplishment in that arena of life was being a member of the 1994 Class 3A State Champion Potosi Trojan baseball team. I say member, because I sat the bench. It was an amazing time being on that team, thanks Coach Lawson. I love baseball, basketball, and football and hockey, in that order. I pretty much love all sports. I like to play softball and basketball now. My favorite teams are the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Rams, and the St. Louis Blues. Are you catching the St. Louis theme? My favorite college teams are the Kentucky Wildcats, and the Mizzou Tigers. I am fond of the SIU Salukis as I went to church in Carbondale as a kid. Oh yeah, I am a big Dallas Cowboys fan as well. I am also a big fantasy sports guru.

In high school, I was also a member of the drama club; I love to act. I think that is what helped me so much in what I do today. Not the acting part, but being in front of people. I graduated on May 25, 1995 with a class of about 200.
After high school, I went to Central Christian College of the Bible in Moberly, Missouri. I played basketball there where we took 5th in the National tournament. After one year at Moberly, I moved to Joplin, to attend Ozark Christian College. In 1997, I began as youth minister in Lebanon, Mo, at Southern Heights Christian Church. In my senior year at OCC, I began dating the most beautiful woman in the world, who later became my wife. I graduated from Ozark in May of 1999 and moved to Lebanon full-time. Nikki, my wife, is an amazing woman. We were married on December 15, 2001. After seven years of serving in Lebanon, being married two of those years, Nikki and I moved here to Quincy, IL.

Nikki and I are looking forward to living in Quincy for a very long time. We have an amazing daughter, Sydni, who was born November of 2005. She has changed our world in a great way! We have two dogs, Abby is a Pug, and Sophie is a Golden Retriever.
