CHILDREN'S MINISTRY FACE-LIFT!!!

I want to give you a glimpse of some the changes that are coming for 2007 in our 1st-6th grade student ministries. You will continue to see some physical changes occur in the Annex and Warehouse. These physical changes will create the environments for our young students to TASTE and TRUST and RISK and RIPPLE as we enter into a new dimension of student ministries. Please read Matt’s article that defines each of these words. Here are some simple highlights to be praying and preparing for…

1. KIDZCHURCH: 10:30 hour on Sunday mornings. This is for all 1st-6th graders and parents/grandparents/family that want to join them from time to time! There will be high energy worship, skits that are relevant to situations in student’s lives, and messages that reinforce the worship theme for the day. Each worship experience will be led by caring adults and student leaders who want to demonstrate the satisfaction that comes through serving Christ.

2. Children’s Discipleship Classes: 9am hour on Sunday mornings. Teachers have been recruited and we will have individual classes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades that will meet in the Quads (rooms 1012, 1013, 1014, 1015 in the Annex). There will be a special emphasis on 5th and 6th graders and using interactive methods for learning in their classroom environment in room 1018 in the Annex. We encourage you to partner with us the discipleship ministries here at MPCC by encouraging your child to participate and involving yourself in such experiences as well.

3. Elementary Check In/Check Out will function a little bit differently than it has before. An adult leadership team is recruiting and equipping assistant supervisors on a rotation basis. This team will be responsible for being a resource to our current teachers for supplies, classroom emergencies such as sickness, behavior issues, etc. They will oversee securing substitute teachers as needed. Creating an effective tracking system for guests and their families to welcome, connect, and involve them in our student ministries. Our goal is to provide the utmost safety and security for our children.

4. Family Nights will be held occasionally in our Annex and Warehouse. The focus of these nights will be to be a TASTE event. We encourage you to invite other friends and families to come out for a night of fun, interaction, and fellowship. Begin praying and seeking opportunities to begin investing in others who might not know Jesus and then inviting them to participate with you at a Family Night here at MPCC. This will also be a great way to connect with other families and then take personal responsibility to build true community with those connections beyond the walls of our facility.

5. Kidz Club combined with InsideOut will take place on Wednesday nights. See InsideOut information for more details.

Please continue to commit our entire student ministries to prayer and how you can participate. Looking forward to what God will accomplish through our combined efforts…if you are checking us out for the first time…please let me know how we can assist you and your family in this journey of faith!
