Junior High Student Ministry
Experience: the process of encountering something.
We have created three specific atmospheres that run regularly where Jr. High students can come and encounter God and connect with their peers around God’s Word.
Sunday morning at 9 a.m. This is a great chance to connect with other Jr. High students around God’s Word.
Sunday morning at 9 or 10:30 We encourage Jr. High students to encounter God in our intergenerational church services.
Wednesday Nights We offer Experience AMPED for our Junior High students. We have created this atmosphere as an opportunity for Jr. High Students to enjoy a high-energy, quick-paced night of worship, fun, and great community. For some it is to encounter God for the first time. For others it is a great time to hangout and a place to bring their friends to introduce them to Christ.
Experience AMPED takes place Wednesday nights from 6:15-7:45 p.m. through May 8, 2013.
Experience AMPED will end May 8, 2013 however we will resume on January 16-May 8, 2013.
5:30-6:15 is supper served in the Fellowship Hall

7:20-7:45 Hangout/Games
Throughout the Boost weeks of this semester, your students will get to experience an element of worship using music, creative arts, and high energy. These nights of worship, message, small groups, and dodgeball are called Experience AMPED!
While giving the students an opportunity to be in a fast-paced, fun environment such as Experience AMPED, we also see it extremely important to continue to disciple our students and meet their capabilities by taking them deeper into God’s Word. Because of this, we have decided to add an extra element to our students “experience”. During the month of March, our students will gather in our sponsors homes. We will hang out, eat, and in a small group context, dig deeper and connect with God through his Word. For obvious reasons, we are calling this portion “Experience DEEPER”.
Through all of this, we still strive to give our students the chance to serve and simply hang out. Therefore, in the midst of all this, we will be throwing in serve nights and fun hangout nights!
We also have special events for Jr. High students that help them experience Life Change through Encounter, Connect, and Serve.
Summer 2013 Events Include:
Ethos Worship Night – May 29 or June 2, 2013
This is a worship event for junior/senior high students and their parents where the vision of studnet ministries will be cast as to how we will be partnering with families in discipleship of their students. **There are two dates, however the same service will take place at each event, so please choose one to attend.
Experience Encounter Night - June 12, 2013 (more details to come)

Engage – July 29-August2, 2013 (Rockford, IL)
Junior high students will be service at worksites, participating in meaningful worship, hearing challenging messages, encouraging others, using their hands, minds and hearts, and being equipped for service at homes in Rockford, IL.
