Class

This is my class from a few years ago.  it was the only time I've taught a course without a translator.  All of these students are fluent in English. The back row is Andrei (Belarus), Sasha (Russia), Leho and Ene (Estonia). The front row is Kashmere (Poland) and Andrei (Moldova). We are in the basement of the Big Haus.

Mike Crull, TCM's European director, and Evgeniy, field director from Bulgaria. He was my host and interpreter when I taught in Velingrad, Bulgaria. I also preached in his church in Sofia, Bulgaria.

From the balcony of my room. I look down the valley of the Sattelbach river. We are in the edge of the Vienna Woods. The picture does not do justice to the beauty I wake up to each morning.

Suzanne Twist (Vice President of TCM and wife of Director Tony Twist) and Yulia Lubenetz (graduate from Kherson, Ukraine) prepare a reception in honor of the Short Term Workers and Professors. We spend the evening enjoying Austrian chocolate.  Who says mission trips can't be fun.

The small dining room is one of three where we eat. The mural on the wall was painted by a short term worker a number of years ago. She has since been back to touch it up. Meals are one of the favorite times of day. We eat on American time (8:00 am, 12:00 noon and 6:00 pm).

Every other morning we have a European breakfast (I vote for every morning). All the meals are delightful. We are serving somewhere around 80-90 people. Afterwords the professors help in the kitchen drying dishes. We get a great chance to visit with the students who are assigned a day to do dishes as well.
